Your Questions Answered...
Often we are asked the same questions, as most our clients are first time clients. Some clients who have been photograph before have gone through the steps, but to help clarify all your questions, we have listened and to make it easier for you...we have decided to make your questions and our policy very clear.
01. How long will I wait for my photos?
I try make sure you wait the least possible time, however even though Families, newborn and children photography are my major focus, I also photograph other shoots and events, such as birthday parties, corporate events, and couples. You will generally wait 3 to 4 weeks for your photos, if by any chance I am able to get it to you sooner, I will, if its going to take longer I will notify you.
If your shoot falls over the December/January holiday period please note that your photos will take longer than the 6 week time frame due to us being on holiday too.
02. Will you put my photos on Facebook or your Website?
As a photographer/artist our work is our own, once photographed it will always be part of us. I try to do a sneak peak for all my clients with in the first 24 hours after their shoot. And while you wait to receive your images i will do 3 sneak peaks in total per client.
03. What is the best time to do my maternity shoot?
My maternity shoots are best done between 32 and 35 weeks of your 3rd trimester. I have a few dresses
which is available to my clients who have booked their session through me, but it is completely up to you what
you which to wear on the day of your shoot. Maternity shoots can either be done in studio or at an outdoor location.
04. When is the best time to book my newborn session?
In order to capture your newborn in adorable curly poses, newborn photos should be taken between five to twelve days after giving birth. If you want your baby’s sleepy and curly newborn demeanor to be photographed, try not to wait any longer than two weeks for the newborn session.
With that being said, i have photographed newborns up till 4 weeks and still gotten beautiful sleepy shots.
I would suggest booking your shoot while you are still pregnant, or booking your session as soon as possible once baby is born.
05. Can you come to us for our shoot?
Newborn shoots and cake smash sessions are done at my professional home studio in Madeley, NOR. I am happy to travel for any other shoot sessions. The first 10km of travel is free from my location, thereafter i have a travel fee of $1.41 per km each way. Should your location be within the first 10km of my location their will be no charge for my travel.
06. Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, with every shoot we require a deposit. Your booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been received. If you have not yet paid your deposit the date you are inquiring about is available to any other person willing to book that date.
If you are booking a newborn shoot, you still need to pay your deposit, probably more so than anyone else as your booking date is tentative until the date of your baby is born. I calculate your tentative booking date by using your due date plus 5 days.
To help me plan better, a quick sms or whats app is always appreciated once bub is born and once you and baby have been discharged from hospital and you’ve arrived at home, I would love you to contact me so we can finalize your session time and date.
I require a 50% deposit for all my shoots and ALL deposits are non refundable, if you cancel your booking as this day may have been available for someone else. The balance is due on the day of your shoot or any time prior. No images will be edited or released until payment has been made in full.
07. Can I pay you when I receive my photos?
No, as per above, the balance due after your deposit is required on the day of your shoot or any time prior. ANY photograph which we take will remain our property unless paid for. I will not edit any shoot until paid in full and this means that you will fall into a queue behind those that have already paid and therefore extending your waiting period.
